Looking to start a hands‑on career in manufacturing with room to grow? We are seeking a motivated CNC Setup Trainee to join a great team! This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn CNC set‑up and production processes. You’ll work with wire‑forming CNC machines, learn tooling and setup procedures, read shop drawings and measuring tools, and play a key role in producing high‑quality parts.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with setting up CNC machines to run production parts according to work instructions and specifications.
  • Change wire sizes as needed and straighten wire after installation on CNC machinery.
  • Remove and install tooling required to manufacture parts correctly.
  • Program or assist with programming CNC machines to produce parts to required dimensions and specifications.
  • Read and interpret dimensional drawings, shop drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Use measuring tools including calipers, tape measures, and gauges to verify product dimensions and quality standards.
  • Operate secondary equipment as needed to complete the forming and finishing process of manufactured parts.
  • Work closely with quality personnel to verify parts meet specifications and customer requirements.
  • Monitor machine operation and identify quality concerns, tooling issues, or production problems.
  • Complete production paperwork and required documentation accurately.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in compliance with company safety standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operation, production, or industrial experience preferred.
  • Ability to read calipers, tape measures, and shop drawings accurately.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to take directions, apply feedback, and learn new processes quickly.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
  • Ability to work overtime or assigned shifts as needed.
  • Previous CNC machine experience or technical training preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools, blueprints, or dimensional drawings beneficial.
  • Experience with tooling changes, wire forming, or secondary manufacturing operations is a plus.
  • Basic computer or machine programming knowledge preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and quality while working efficiently.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize production responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to learn CNC set‑up, tooling, and programming processes.
  • Must be able to lift 10–15 pounds consistently throughout the shift and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, pinching, tooling changes, and measuring tasks.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach occasionally throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in non‑climate‑controlled environments with varying temperatures.
  • Visual ability required to read measurements, inspect parts, and review shop drawings accurately.
