3rd Shift Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

This position supports operations by providing leadership to the packaging areas. Candidates must be able to perform a variety of tasks, work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required. The role may include general housekeeping, cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication, power washing, lifting and hauling, dump rework, and operating a motorized forklift and other equipment. This position offers opportunities for advancement within the Maintenance Department.

• Complete preventive maintenance (PM) on a daily and monthly basis.
• Assist line operators and supervisors to keep lines running and efficient.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Help keep maintenance shop and parts cage area clean.
• Work safely and follow all SOPs on lock out of equipment.
• Assist with PM’s on assigned areas.
• Assist others on job tasks.
• Identify needed mechanical improvements and carry them out when possible.
• Identify and eliminate unsafe conditions or practices.
• Complete and accurately log downtime sheets/GMP log.
• Be on call on weekends.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in carpentry, millwright, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, or mechanical repair is valuable.
• Ability to operate and understand packaging equipment and processes.
• Ability to operate forklift truck, scissor lift, and sky trac (training available).
• Basic mechanical skills, ability to weld carbon steel, thread pipe and work with copper tubing.
• Basic computer skills (data entry) and general math comprehension.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to get along well with others.
• Willing to work overtime, weekend, and emergency call‑ins.

$25.56 - $28.33 per hour.

Lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods, working in confined spaces, working at heights, respirator qualification.
