- Production Operator runs the individual machine centers on each production line.
- They are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of their machinery and the production of quality product at an acceptable rate.
- Operates production machinery, in accordance with attached specifications.
- Ensures through constant observation and routine inspections that high quality product is being produced.
- Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn’t sticking properly.
- Participate in preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Performs basic cleaning of machinery and of the plant.
- Use the BOM to obtain needed raw materials and is responsible for keeping assigned machine filled with these materials.
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
- Count and record finished and rejected packaged items, machine downtime, quantity of materials used, etc.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years work-related experience or training preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Computer experience is preferred.
