We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on Quality Manager to lead all aspects of Quality at Hollister‑Whitney, part of Vantage Elevation.

Position

Summary

As the Quality Manager, you will lead the site's Quality function and serve as a key member of the leadership team. You will be responsible for ensuring products, processes, and systems consistently meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company expectations. This is a highly visible leadership role that requires a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, close partnership with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Safety, and Operations, and a relentless focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be proactive, data‑driven, and solution‑oriented—someone who not only identifies problems but drives sustainable corrective actions to closure while developing a culture of quality ownership throughout the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Quality Engineers, Inspectors, Technicians, and other quality personnel
  • Build a high‑performing Quality organization focused on accountability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement
  • Establish performance expectations, development plans, and succession strategies for team members
  • Serve as a coach and resource to supervisors, managers, and employees across the organization
  • Promote a culture where quality ownership extends beyond the Quality Department and becomes embedded throughout the operation
  • Lead and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, industry regulations, and quality system requirements
  • Lead internal and external audits and drive timely closure of findings
  • Conduct structured root cause investigations utilizing 8D, 5 Whys, A3, Fishbone Analysis, and FMEA
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions through implementation, validation, and sustainability reviews
  • Analyze quality trends and performance data to identify systemic issues and improvement opportunities
  • Serve as the primary site contact for customer quality concerns and complaint resolution
  • Partner with suppliers to improve incoming material quality and supplier performance
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and development activities as needed
  • Support customer visits, audits, and quality reviews
  • Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to improve process capability and product quality
  • Support new product introductions, process validations, and engineering change activities
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Establish and monitor key quality performance indicators including defect rates, scrap, rework, warranty claims, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
  • Drive a culture focused on prevention rather than detection through proactive quality planning and risk mitigation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Industrial Technology, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, auditing practices, and root cause analysis methodologies
