As a Sales Associate, you'll play an important role in supporting our ministry through excellent customer service, merchandising, and maintaining an organized, welcoming thrift store environment.

Whether you're helping customers find a hidden treasure, stocking new merchandise, or supporting store operations, your work directly contributes to programs and services that help people in need throughout our community.

Hours: Part-time, up to 19 hours/week
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Flexible shifts available - weekdays, evenings, and weekends

What You'll Do

As a Sales Associate, you will:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
  • Welcome customers and create a positive shopping experience.
  • Stock, organize, and merchandise products on sales floor racks and shelves.
  • Maintain attractive displays through proper sizing, colorization, and product placement.
  • Operate the cash register and accurately process customer transactions.
  • Assist with promotional displays, signage, and sales events.
  • Answer customer questions and provide helpful product information.
  • Help customers with purchases, including carrying items to vehicles when needed.
  • Keep fitting rooms, sales area, bathrooms, and common spaces clean and organized.
  • Perform light custodial duties to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Partner with Donation Center staff to replenish merchandise and support inventory flow.
  • Cross-train and assist with donation processing as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture.

Previous retail or customer service experience is a bonus—but not required!

Physical Requirements

This is an active retail position that requires:

  • Standing, walking, and moving throughout the store for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, and pulling while stocking merchandise, and maintaining displays.
  • Lifting and moving merchandise and store fixtures as needed.
  • Regularly lifting and carrying items up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Working in a fast-paced retail environment while providing excellent customer service and maintaining an organized sales floor.
