Engineering Liaison

Position Overview

Responsible for providing a pathway of communication between Manufacturing, Installation and Engineering.

• Provides extensive technical support for manufacturing and installation concerning design, installation and function of Knapheide products.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing and installation concerning installation and function of auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to identify Engineering and product changes.
• Ability to identify standard practices needed for Installation centers.
• Ability to locate and communicate documented standards using document library and other available applications.
• Ability to execute the Installation Technician training program.
• Understanding of 6S principles.
• Understanding established safety practices for installation facilities and personnel.
• Identify improvements to installation processes and throughput.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across all levels of the organization including the Executive level.
• Performs other duties, assignments and special projects that may be required from time to time.

• 4 year Technical degree or 5+ years of Design or Installation experience.
• PC skills and experience including word processing and spreadsheet applications recommended.
• Knapheide product knowledge.
• Understanding of all Knapheide systems including AS400, KBS, EPDM and Knap Portal applications including the Document Library.
• Understanding of Installation operations and workflow.
• Hands on experience welding and using a variety of power tools is helpful.
• Must have strong communication skills and the ability to interface directly with all levels of the organization.
• Travel 40% to 50% of the time may be required.
• No Visa Sponsorship.

Normal standing, bending, walking, lifting in an office environment. Ability to verbally communicate with individuals.
