Quincy-Delivery Driver​/Warehouse

Connor Co., a company rich in history, currently has an available Delivery Driver/Warehouse position in Quincy, IL. We are looking for a career‑minded person who is looking for a long‑term position with a great company.

• Pass a pre‑employment background check and drug testing.
• Be available to work from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

• Process paperwork for all inbound freight including UPS and transfers.
• Scan all paperwork in the Eclipse system.
• Receive incoming material by entering actual items received versus quantities shown on the packing slip.
• Resolve vendor discrepancies (over/under shipments).
• Perform general warehouse clerical duties.
• Prepare truck for operation by inspecting general condition: check fluid levels and tire pressure, and notify the Branch Manager before obtaining or scheduling required repairs.
• Maintain truck operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and scheduling repairs.
• Load the delivery truck with product securely to avoid damage.
• Deliver items by identifying destinations, establishing a route, operating the truck, unloading items, and maintaining schedule.
• Use a cell phone to report delivery progress.
• Picks up returned items for the company.
• Verify products delivered against the packing slip and obtain customer sign‑off.
• Serve customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints.
• Enhance organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
• Process inbound materials to the warehouse, comparing quantities shown on packing slips or manifests with actual items received.
• Ensure efficient and effective loading and unloading of trucks.
• Inspect items according to instructions and report damaged goods.
• Ensure materials are placed in the designated area within the warehouse.
• Stack skids or pallets in designated areas, clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping, placing these in a proper container or designated area.
• Perform general housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, dusting.
• Assist customers at the counter.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license (Class C CDL required).

• Critical thinker: using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions.
• Mathematical reasoning: ability to choose the right method or formulas to solve a problem.
• Ability to learn Eclipse software.
• Must be very detail‑oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.
• Must have strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Must maintain a patient and professional attitude while managing a busy workload.

• Determine and prioritize workload.
• Read directions and use a street map to plot delivery route.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
