POSITION OVERVIEW:Performs the necessary functions of operation to ensure orders and inventory will be received, picked, packed, shipped, and stored accurately. Must be detail-oriented, able to follow directions, collaborate well with team members, and exercise good judgement & utilize common sense in all aspects of the work. There are no supervisory or travel responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Perform packaging and verification of order accuracy at the designated split stations which include Conveyable, Non-Conveyable, Break Pack, Clothing, and Pallet-Builder Stations.
- Operate RF/Scanner equipment to successfully perform daily functions.
- Ensure all POs are received and split in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure all pallets are securely shrink wrapped.
- Follow all Warehouse and Farm & Home Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure proper SKUs and prices have been applied to all products before shipping if no barcodes are available.
- Maintain accurate inventory of products.
- Ensure all appropriate paperwork is maintained and submitted to the proper departments in a timely manner.
- Ensure pallets are placed in the proper grid.
- Perform cycle counts as assigned.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Ensure all processes are being done correctly and in a timely manner to eliminate additional budget costs.
- Forklift Certification Level I preferred but will train.
- General computer skills, email, and Microsoft Word
- Cross Train in other areas of operation as needed.
- Prepare related forms, documents, etc.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area
- Proper loading and unloading of trailers with the appropriate paperwork as requested.
- Work closely with Warehouse Management team and office personnel.
- Operate the material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Communicate with the Warehouse Management team regarding any repairs that may be necessary to the building or equipment.
- Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Conduct all operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Must be:
- In good physical condition with better than average motor skills.
- Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods (at least two hours straight, four times in an eight-hour workday).
- Able to twist, stoop, squat, crouch, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis.
- Able to consistently lift 50 lbs.
- Able to use proper techniques to occasionally lift 75 lbs.
- Able to follow directions – with an emphasis on safety.
- Able to shift focus and priorities quickly and easily.
- Able to manage high-paced schedule requirements.
- Able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
- Have good hand/eye coordination.
