Job Overview – Controller (Manufacturing)Atlantic Group is hiring a Controller (Manufacturing) in Worcester County, MA for our client, supporting accounting operations, financial reporting, cost accounting, and financial leadership within a manufacturing environment. This highly visible role will serve as a key partner to finance leadership while overseeing accounting functions, strengthening internal controls, and driving process improvements across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting experience, leadership capabilities, and a hands‑on approach to managing financial operations.
Responsibilities- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and month‑end close functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate reporting requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Support manufacturing finance activities, including inventory accounting, cost accounting, and operational performance.
- Coordinate external audits, maintain internal controls, and ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Drive operational efficiencies, strengthen accounting procedures, and implement process enhancements that support business growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or controllership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, inventory management, financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and internal controls.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or a comparable ERP system and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage teams, drive process improvements, and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
