Job Description
Our client is seeking a seasoned Staff Accountant to become a key player within their dynamic, growing, Accounting & Finance team. This role, based in Boston, reports directly to the Senior Accountant and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical accounting functions, including accruals, reconciliations, revenue recognition, and general ledger management. The Staff Accountant will be instrumental in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP systems such as SAGE Intacct, , Bill Spend & Expense, or similar. Multi-unit experience is highly valued.
- Month-End Close
- Assist in the month-end financial close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and maintaining the General Ledger, covering areas such as cash transactions, revenue, payroll, and credit card expense reports.
- Perform General Ledger account reconciliations, ensuring data accuracy and compiling supporting documentation for account balances.
- Collaborate with the FP& A team to review monthly income statements, identifying necessary reclassifications or correcting coding errors.
- General Accounting
- Work closely with various departments to ensure the integrity of financial data across different software platforms.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies, including Sales & Use and Excise Tax.
- Support the preparation of 1099 and Puerto Rico Form 480 filings for all vendors.
- Annual Audit Support
- Gather, compile, and upload documentation to support audit selections.
- Communicate with auditors to address any variances or inquiries.
- Post year-end and audit adjustment journal entries as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related
- 2+ years of relevant professional accounting experience.
- Basic understanding of US GAAP, with proficiency in Sage Intacct or other cloud-based ERP/financial systems.
- Experience in a multi-unit or multi-entity business environment.
- A go-getter, not afraid to jump in!
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, building and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized and adaptable to the needs of a growing business.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Any tax exposure particularly with 1099 would be a plus!

Offering compensation range between $80-87K+Bonus! This role is onsite 4 days with 1 day remote!
