Job Summary

Watts Water Technologies is seeking a highly motivated, experienced accountant to join its Americas accounting team in the role of Senior Accountant. The candidate will be part of the general ledger accounting team and will play an integral role in both internal and external financial reporting processes. This hybrid role is based in North Andover, Massachusetts, and reports to the Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial statements.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly journal entries and detailed account reconciliations.
  • Maintain assigned balance sheet accounts in compliance with related accounting policies.
  • Participate in monthly reporting to Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), including loading monthly trial balances and supplemental data forms.
  • Meet with the team and manager to review, analyze, and explain accounting reports and balance sheet analytical reporting.
  • Track performance against budget and forecasts and explain variances for operating expenses.
  • Assist and support the SAP implementation and QAD system reporting process improvements.
  • Maintain SOX control documentation related to internal controls over financial reporting and participate in annual SOX testing requirements.
  • Prepare audit schedules and other year‑end audit analyses.
  • Assist the manager with the preparation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Travel up to 10% as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with large, manufacturing, multinational, public corporations.
  • Previous general ledger experience required.
  • Experience with SAP and large ERP systems; QAD experience is a plus.
  • Excellent system and computer skills, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
  • Strong Excel skills, including vlookup, sumifs, and pivot tables.
  • Superior organization skills, ability to multitask and re‑arrange priorities, and monitor workflow to meet critical deadlines and project timetables.
  • Self‑motivated, problem‑solving, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • High level of analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and work accurately under time constraints and deadlines.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office environment. The candidate will work in the North Andover office three days per week (Monday–Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday). Physical requirements include remaining seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks such as typing and using a mouse, moving around the office, and occasionally lifting light objects.

Compensation

& Benefits

Salary Range: $95,000–$106,000 per year, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
