We are seeking a highly motivated and results‑driven experienced fund controller to join Wellington's private investment focused Fund Control & Operations team, supporting the launch and ongoing operations of the Private Investment platform's semi‑liquid private investment strategy, Venture Growth Evergreen.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end‑to‑end fund operations for assigned semi‑liquid vehicles.
- Manage day‑to‑day accounting, reporting and fund operations activities, including NAV calculations.
- Partner with third‑party fund administrator and cross‑functional teams to strike monthly NAVs.
- Validate NAV‑impacting activity: public and private investments, subscriptions, redemptions, fees, expenses, and balances of other entities.
- Assist with review of financial statements and recurring filings.
- Supply information and conduct ad‑hoc analyses for Product, Investor Relations, Tax, Compliance and other stakeholders.
- Serve as control point and SME for semi‑liquid fund operations, designing and scaling operational infrastructure.
- Drive design and improvement of operating models, workflows and controls for semi‑liquid funds.
- Develop accounting policies, procedures and operational controls.
- BS (or above) in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA license is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in private funds (fund administrator, public accounting, or asset manager).
- Strong experience with investment company accounting, including public and private investments.
- Experience with open‑ended fund structures, including multi‑share class funds.
- Proficient knowledge of US GAAP and general understanding of other frameworks (Lux GAAP, IFRS).
- Experience overseeing third‑party administrators.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with data/reporting tools a plus.

- Strong organizational skills, managing concurrent workflows (NAV, flows, reporting).

Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range: USD 90,000 – 180,000. The range considers factors such as skill set, role, certifications and education. Base salary is one component of total compensation; additional rewards may include a discretionary corporate bonus or incentives, if eligible.
