Position Overview:
The Admission Coordinator / Business Office Assistant plays a vital role in managing the admissions process, supporting administrative operations, and ensuring a smooth transition for new residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of resident admissions, including intake, documentation, and communication with families and referral sources
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist with benefits coordination
  • Maintain accurate resident records and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Support billing processes, collections, and general business office functions
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and facility staff
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, healthcare admissions, or business office preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance verification is a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
