Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Gift Management, this position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of routine and standard gifts to the University, which are received in various forms from various sources and distributed to designated funds.
Primary Responsibilities- Reviewing and processing online gifts in accordance with established policies, procedures, and supervisory guidance.
- Posting pledges and payments, and reconciling and balancing gift batches.
- Capturing, processing, and archiving credit card transactions resulting from telemarketing services, direct marketing, and fundraising websites.
- Download reports from Give Campus and other online platforms.
- Ensures the required documentation is complete and routes exceptions or complex cases for further review.
- Prepare files for processing and running the Bright Vine Data function in Spark to import online gift batches.
- Create donor records when needed to facilitate gift processing, using standard system reports and database tools for review and correction.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $45,100 - $56,350; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Attention to detail and knowledge of accounting principles are essential for processing gifts in accordance with donor intentions in a timely and accurate manner, as mandated by professional and legal requirements.
RequirementsThis position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of experience working with financial and accounting data. Processing gifts promptly while meeting obligatory deadlines, as well as the ability to maintain highly detailed and confidential work, and work independently within a structured, team-based environment.
You will work collaboratively with senior gift-processing staff to address matching gift-related questions or exceptions. Qualifications include strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
Blackbaud CRM reporting and query skills;
Google Suite, with a strong focus on Excel; and basic accounting skills. Dependability is essential to maintain consistency in data input and output.
During the crucial calendar year-end period, Gift Processing staff will often work on days when the University is closed to process and acknowledge gifts. During the fiscal year-end, another demanding time of the work year, vacations, and scheduled time off are not usually granted (May through mid-June).
