This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Technician role based in Quincy, MA. The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid checks, and inspections, as well as diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of import vehicles. Day-to-day tasks include conducting test drives, using diagnostic tools, completing repair orders accurately, and communicating findings and recommendations to service advisors or management.
The role involves working with suspension and other critical systems, following manufacturer specifications, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The technician is expected to maintain a clean work area, support teammates when needed, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry practices.
- Strong skills in vehicle maintenance, including routine inspections and manufacturer-recommended services.
- Hands-on experience with oil changes and basic fluid services across multiple vehicle makes.
- Proficiency in automotive repair and maintenance & repair tasks, including diagnosis and resolution of mechanical issues.
- Working knowledge of suspension systems, including inspection, repair, and replacement of related components.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools, service manuals, and computerized systems.
- Ability to read and interpret repair orders, technical documentation, and wiring diagrams.
- Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and consistent quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with a service team.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Formal automotive training, relevant certifications (e.g., ASE), or equivalent experience preferred.
