State Street’s is making a multi‑year strategic investment in Private Markets and the Alternatives Product organization seeks a business analyst with experience in financial services to support our Investor Services product development program and offering.

With the democratization of Private Markets, the client demand and opportunities to further enhance our capabilities play a significant role in growing our business.

The individual will be a key member of our product development team focused on enhancing our Investor Services offering for private market and alternative funds. The role will report to the VP of Product Development for Investor Services and Transfer Agency and work alongside peers to align on a global platform and offering, including closed‑end and international alternative funds.

The product offering includes investor servicing, transfer agent, connectivity solutions for distribution, and the digital tools and experience for clients (GPs and their end clients).

Responsibilities
  • Lead and/or perform the execution of specified Private Equity development programs, partnering with client‑facing, product, global delivery (operations), and technology teams.
  • Create assigned development plans, manage development execution, coordinate requirements gathering, translate and participate in the agile development process, and support testing and roll‑out of capabilities.
  • Facilitate program governance, including compliance with policies, best practices, oversight of issues, risks, audit and compliance items, and support program reporting.
  • Act as product owner or assigned role for agile development programs, organizing the program, tracking status, running status meetings, escalating and resolving issues, and communicating status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop transition plans to migrate new capabilities into our operating model and address the administrative aspects of establishing the product or service offering.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the technology and operating models that support and affect Private Equity clients, enhancing your ability to create effective plans and execute development.
  • Collaborate with other teams to share approaches, develop best practices, and improve the team's capabilities to successfully execute and deliver new capabilities.
  • Support annual product assessment, planning and funding prioritization activities as requested by the Manager.
  • Support the development of the Private Equity Product roadmap as directed by the Manager.
Skills
  • Highly organized, strong analytic skills, ability to operate independently, and manage multiple projects with changing client requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate strong project management and process transformation skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, balance multiple tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to facilitate project working groups and possess strong data gathering and requirements writing (epics and stories) skills.
  • Subject matter knowledge across Asset Servicing, Investor Services, Transfer Agency, Private Market, and Alternative Fund Investments is a plus.
Experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in investment operations, project management, client implementation, and/or business analysis.
  • Strong preference for experience with business analysis in an agile environment.
  • Knowledge of products and processes related to the financial services industry, investor services, or private funds would be an advantage.
Salary Range

$80,000 - $140,000 Annual
