About the Role
Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is a public sector solutions firm that partners with education agencies to improve lives. The Senior Consultant—Mental and Behavioral Health Services (MBHS) focuses on building relationships with state and local education leaders, driving new revenue, and leading complex projects and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute growth strategies, identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Lead proposal writing teams and prepare written reports and materials for clients.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior education leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to understand their challenges and priorities.
- Support the Product Roadmap and development of features and functionality of PCG’s MBHS technology: EDPlan Health – MBHS.
- Deeply understand PCG’s EDPlan MBHS solution and lead clients through sales demos and strategic implementations.
- Provide or leverage MBHS subject‑matter expertise to advise clients on best practices, state/federal regulations, and business operations for efficiency improvements.
- Develop communication plans, elicit requirements from stakeholders, and facilitate client discussions.
- Identify gaps and shortcomings in the MBHS technology solution and determine necessary workarounds.
- Serve as the overall Account Executive for existing and prospective clients.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Assess MBHS best practices and provide technical assistance to clients.
- Act as client manager, independently managing complex projects, staff, and tasks while maintaining client interaction.
- Collaborate effectively with senior managers on cross‑functional initiatives to advance PCG’s broader education practice goals.
- Develop and implement business growth strategies, identify and close new opportunities, and upsell to existing customers.
- Research, analyze, and interpret policy, legal briefs, and regulations.
- Understand federal and state funding streams and how to maximize financial resources.
- Demonstrate creative problem‑solving ability and a consultancy mindset.
- Work independently and consistently achieve excellent results.
- Deliver outstanding oral and written presentations and build effective relationships.
- Lead and assist in the sales process for PCG’s MBHS products and services.
- Apply project management skills and move projects forward within specific timelines and budgets.
- Commit to exceptional client service and continuous process improvement.
- Operate both in team situations and autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit strong communication, negotiation, analysis, critical thinking, attention to detail, and multi‑tasking skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or 10 years’ experience required; graduate degree preferred.
- 5–10 years of work experience with consulting, business development, or client relationship management related to MBHS policy, information systems, and/or technology.
- Experience in information technology, finance/business operations, K‑12 education, and school‑based MBHS support is highly desirable.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the U.S. to engage with clients and represent PCG at key events.
- Supervision of a small, growing team.
Range: $88,900–$120,000

Working ConditionsOffice setting; some travel required.
