Digital Asset GD ETF Specialist, Assistant Vice President

Who we are looking for

We are hiring a Digital Asset GD ETF Specialist to be an ETF subject matter expert, participating in work streams to build digital asset operations within State Street’s infrastructure. You will be responsible for sharing knowledge and expertise around current operational workflows, maintaining alignment to ETF leadership, escalating concerns to functional leadership, acquiring approvals of new models with functional leadership, and maintaining alignment with digital asset operations leadership.

We expect the candidate to have a risk-excellence mindset and be proficient in establishing an effective control environment. The ideal candidate should understand digital asset concepts (blockchain knowledge, understanding of digital asset types, decentralized finance, tokenization, etc). At a minimum, the candidate should have intellectual curiosity to learn about digital asset servicing. This role will have a dual reporting line to ETF leadership and digital asset operations leadership.

Across the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability. To make that happen, we need teams like this on the front-line to execute swiftly, build strong procedures and processes, and implement a risk management framework to control the operating environment tightly.

This role will seek cutting-edge solutions that are straightforward and scalable. It will also help us build resilience and execute day-to-day deliverables with timeliness and accuracy.

• Participate in work streams as an ETF subject matter expert for digital asset operations across a portfolio of value streams to deliver digital asset capabilities
• Foster alignment between value streams, manage interdependencies, and deliver value at an organizational level
• Establish risk control procedures to ensure risk excellence across all capabilities
• Partner with testing teams to develop, test, and enhance capability development in UAT and production
• Manage risks, resources, and stakeholder communications across the workstream
• Provide regular communication and reporting updates to ensure full transparency and clarity of workstream delivery to both the functional leadership teams and digital asset operations leadership teams

• Knowledge of ETF systems, data flows, and overall operating model
• Ability to elevate risks and decision points quickly to the appropriate stakeholders, whether that be functional leadership, digital leadership, and/or project leadership
• Ability to review and vet a new operating model for viability and alignment to our existing infrastructure
• Collaboration with other business units and departments within State Street
• Experience executing on a project as a critical stakeholder, including excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
• Experience in ETF operations and strong working knowledge of day-to-day ETF responsibilities and processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
• Ability to excel when faced with the unknown and challenged to develop new ways
• Excellent communication and escalation ability
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and external stakeholders
• Hands‑on experience with digital assets and wallets, distributed ledger technology, tokenization is preferred

• $70,000 - $130,000 Annual
• The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
