This role supports the Division Chief Engineer and the Division Operations team to scale the Maritime Division while maintaining disciplined execution across cross-divisional initiatives.
ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking for a Division Operations Lead to join our Maritime Division Operations team in Quincy, MA. You will support our cross-divisional Chief Engineering office and help build the business infrastructure required to grow this division over the next few years. The Maritime Division focuses on undersea and surface autonomous platforms and related capabilities, including XL-AUV, Copperhead, and Seabed Sentry, and is tasked with scalable, repeatable execution across projects.
WHATYOU’LL DO
- Lead strategic initiatives and special projects to establish scalable operations and forward progress across a portfolio of engineering initiatives, as directed by the Division Chief Engineer and the Head of Division Operations.
- Serve as connective tissue by supporting design, development, and implementation of new processes, strategy, projects, and execution plans across complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and evolving scope.
- Coordinate and prepare for leadership meetings, including setting agendas, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-through.
- Support internal team operations such as new employee onboarding, all-hands, internal business reviews, and other events to ramp new employees quickly and maintain a culture of innovative execution.
- Support corporate planning cycles by building and monitoring performance against goals, financial plans, and headcount plans to meet growth targets.
- Establish the operating model and cadence for a rapidly growing team with emphasis on cross-division coordination and repeatable execution patterns.
- 3+ years of experience in a combination of engineering and business operations (e.g., consulting, tech operations, finance, or general business analysis).
- Ability to solve complex, ambiguous, cross-functional problems in a people-centric way.
- High ownership with low ego, strong outcomes orientation, and humility.
- Energy for being a thought partner, translating operational problems into data problems, and executing on them.
- Fast learner with discernment and the ability to operate beyond high-level thinking to practical implementation.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
- Typically 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/work experience, with hands-on expertise and the ability to operate independently across a range of responsibilities.
