Job Overview
Prominent Builders Inc is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Project Management team in the Greater Boston area. This role is responsible for leading 1-2 ground-up construction projects, managing projects through various phases from preconstruction to closeout.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and client communication while mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities
- Manage 1-3 ground-up residential multi-family construction projects simultaneously
- Oversee projects from preconstruction through final closeout
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets
- Lead subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and scope reviews
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure field operations align with project objectives
- Monitor project costs, manage change orders, and ensure financial performance
- Conduct regular project meetings with internal teams, clients, architects, and subcontractors
- Identify and mitigate risks to maintain schedule and budget integrity
- Mentor and support junior Project Engineers or Assistant Project Managers
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager (Multi-Family experience required)
- Experience managing multiple ground-up construction projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction processes
- Bachelor's Degree preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field)
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license required
