Job Overview

Prominent Builders Inc is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Project Management team in the Greater Boston area. This role is responsible for leading 1-2 ground-up construction projects, managing projects through various phases from preconstruction to closeout.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and client communication while mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage 1-3 ground-up residential multi-family construction projects simultaneously
  • Oversee projects from preconstruction through final closeout
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets
  • Lead subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and scope reviews
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure field operations align with project objectives
  • Monitor project costs, manage change orders, and ensure financial performance
  • Conduct regular project meetings with internal teams, clients, architects, and subcontractors
  • Identify and mitigate risks to maintain schedule and budget integrity
  • Mentor and support junior Project Engineers or Assistant Project Managers
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager (Multi-Family experience required)
  • Experience managing multiple ground-up construction projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction processes
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field)
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license required
