Our client is one of the larger and fastest-growing general contractors in Massachusetts, with a strong reputation for delivering complex residential, healthcare, academic, and commercial projects throughout the state.

They have built a culture around strong relationships, quality construction, safety, and developing people from the field up. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Construction Superintendent to their team.

This is a leadership position for a Superintendent who knows how to run a jobsite, hold subcontractors accountable, and keep a project moving without creating unnecessary chaos.

You will take ownership of day-to-day field operations and work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, owners, architects, and internal leadership to deliver a successful project from mobilization through closeout.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all day-to-day field operations on assigned construction projects
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Establish and maintain project schedules
• Coordinate daily construction activities and sequencing
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and weekly project meetings
• Monitor workmanship, quality control, and project progress
• Ensure work is being performed safely and in accordance with company standards
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs
• Coordinate inspections and resolve field issues
• Identify schedule conflicts and develop solutions before they impact the project
• Work closely with the Project Manager on budget, schedule, and project execution
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
• Coordinate deliveries, site logistics, and material handling
• Manage punch list and project closeout
• Serve as a leader and mentor to Assistant Superintendents and other field staff

• Proven experience as a Lead Construction Superintendent
• Commercial General Contractor experience
• Experience with multifamily, healthcare, commercial, academic, or similar projects
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents
• Strong understanding of construction safety and quality standards
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
• Strong scheduling and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Procore or similar construction management software experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Massachusetts construction experience
