POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Dean of Liberal Arts/Professional Programs, the College is seeking qualified applicants to design and instruct courses for the Fire Science Technology Program.
EDUCATIONAL
EXPERIENCE:
Master's Degree in the field or a closely related field from an accredited college or university required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Teaching experience in the subject area at the college level required, preferably in a community college setting. Substantial work experience in the subject area is a plus.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to education and working with a diverse student population
Experience using technology in the classroom and/or for distance learning, and traditional/nontraditional methods of instruction.
Online, Hybrid, Remote or blended teaching experience is required.
Experience using multiple measures to assess student learning.
Experience in teaching to adult learners.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion of Quincy College's certification program (Canvas, Quality Matters, Canvas Studio) for teaching or, in the sole determination of Quincy College, the equivalent of that program.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated academic excellence as well as compassion and enthusiasm for community college students. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to education and working with a diverse student population.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

TRAVEL:
This position requires teaching online and may require teaching at the Quincy Campus, Plymouth Campus, and/or Boston Site.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Create, design, and teach courses in Fire Science Technology, and as otherwise directed by the Provost and/or Dean of the Liberal Arts & Professional Programs.
Collaborate with other faculty in the planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of Fire Science Technology and related courses.
