Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate CDC Lead Teacher to join our team. The role of a CDC Lead Teacher is to create a safe and nurturing environment for children and lead a team of teacher assistants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to ensuring the well‑being and development of young children.
Qualifications- Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field (or equivalent experience and education)
- Previous experience working as a lead teacher in a CDC or similar setting
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education theories and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lead and work effectively as a part of a team
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with children
- Create a safe and engaging learning environment for children
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lessons
- Provide individual attention and support to children as needed
- Assist children with daily tasks such as eating, dressing, and toileting
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Observe and document children's progress and behavior
- Lead and mentor teacher assistants
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required
