This role provides manufacturing engineering support to the Production department at the Quincy Boston Scientific site, which handles medical device kitting, rework, and postponement functions for the company. The role will specifically support the global Astria Final Packaging and Labeling process transfer to the Quincy site, encompassing both new product introduction and new process development. This site requires on-site presence five days a week initially, with the potential for one remote workday per week once training is complete.

This is an on-site position based in Quincy, MA. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Responsibilities- Lead manufacturing engineering activities for the Astria initiative, including new product introduction (NPI) and new process development within Quincy Production.
- Serve as the technical partner to the MES Modeler, ensuring alignment between physical manufacturing processes; participate in iterative model testing.
- Prepare reports and deliver presentations to communicate project updates.
- Understand emerging technology trends and the business needs of the company.
- Maintain rigorous change control, ensuring process changes are properly documented and reviewed in compliance with quality system requirements.
- Provide on-site support during launch, ramp-up, and sustaining, including fast-reaction troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Lead and/or support value improvement and sustaining initiatives for Quincy Production, focusing on process efficiency, yield, error-proofing, cycle time reduction, and operational performance.
- Act as a technical resource and mentor to operators, technicians, and engineers, supporting training, knowledge transfer, and continuous capability development.
- May lead a project team, determining goals and objectives for projects.
This role is deemed safety-sensitive and, as such, candidates will be subject to a prohibited substance test as a requirement.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience designing manufacturing processes based on product risk documentation and design outputs.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience managing multiple product/process implementations simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of process verification and validation.
- Experience with MES, SAP, Windchill, BAM, or warehouse management systems.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications.
