Mechanical Engineer; Teradyne, North Reading, MA

Opportunity Overview

• Lead quality initiatives across mechanical and electro‑mechanical subsystems
• Develop and maintain standards for design processes, documentation, and testing
• Collaborate with Design, NPI, and Supply Line teams to ensure quality compliance
• Build and execute design verification testing, including fixture development
• Support education and training on quality processes and workmanship standards
• Partner with global teams to investigate and test engineering designs

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in fast‑paced environments
• Proficiency in Solid Works, GD&T, FEA, and tolerance analysis
• Experience with electro‑mechanical packaging (sheet metal, plastics, cabling)
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA, QA principles, and design verification testing
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Self‑motivated and team‑oriented with hands‑on approach
• Experience with RCA methods (8D, 5W, A3) and CAPA documentation
• Lean Six Sigma certification and FMEA experience preferred
• Local to the position location; relocation not provided

The base salary range for this role is $100,000‑160,000. This range is a good faith estimate and may fluctuate based on experience, skill set, and demand.

Incentive Plan:
This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
