Environmental Building Sciences Field Technician – Quincy, MA

We are seeking a dynamic Environmental Building Sciences Field Technician to join our Quincy, MA office.
Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Building Sciences Field Technician:- Conduct hazardous materials surveys, including asbestos, lead‑based paint, mold, other hazardous materials, and indoor air quality.
- Provide oversight of contaminated site remediation and hazardous building materials abatement.
- Prepare field notes, photographs, and perform analysis and interpretation of field and analytical data.
- Prepare technical reports for hazardous materials for site assessments.
- Support emergency response services, communicate and collaborate with others, manage workloads and records, implement health & safety policies, and travel.
- BA/BS in Environmental Science, or related field, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- 2+ years of experience in the Industrial Hygiene / Hazardous Building Materials industry.
- Asbestos, Lead, and/or 40‑hr HAZWOPER certification required.
- Proficient in MS Office and other commonly used computer programs.
- Familiarity with State Superfund and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong safety mindset and record of safe work practices.
Schedule:
- Willingness to conduct asbestos, lead, and mold surveys, remediation monitoring, exposure monitoring, and specialized industrial hygiene projects.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced environments, various weather conditions, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel up to 90% regionally and work nights or weekends as needed.
- Valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to wear a respirator, safety harness, and required PPE.
