ABOUT THE TEAM
Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to tackle challenging industry demands of seabed exploration. Founded in 2018 and backed by over 100 years of combined AUV experience, the company executes multi‑million‑dollar contracts for the US Navy and DARPA while delivering Robot‑as‑a‑Service commercial surveys.

ABOUT THE JOBManufacturing Test Engineer – advance testing capabilities to ensure the highest levels of quality while scaling production operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Build test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream – from system level checkouts and acceptance testing to key component level in‑process validation
- Develop, execute, and manage a test ecosystem to de‑risk hardware and meet target reliability levels and design intent
- Perform hands‑on, data‑driven root‑cause analysis of electromechanical subsystems
- Design and implement semi‑automated testing equipment/protocols for subsystem characterization and reliability/environmental testing
- Collaborate with design and systems teams to perform risk assessments, train technicians, and drive improvements
- Produce and maintain testing logs, develop an error‑code library for fast issue resolution
- Generate clear test instructions for technicians in MES or other systems
- Optimize full‑system end‑of‑line factory acceptance tests (FAT) of AUVs
- Design and execute PCBA and electrical system component tests, including hands‑on rework as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electro‑Mechanical, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in hardware testing and automated test systems (LabVIEW, Test Stand, etc.)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or SHELL
- Knowledge of hardware communication protocols: USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc.
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in test design of electro‑mechanical hardware in manufacturing
- Strong understanding of complex electromechanical systems and passion for reliable performance
- Experience developing full system test plans and executing them on fast‑paced product development timelines
- Experience testing a wide range of sensors, actuators, and electrical components
- Ability to prototype and run end‑to‑end tests
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance
- Experience in subsea robotics or AUV/UUV industry
- Familiarity with PLM systems, MES, and TES
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and adapt to new situations under technical and schedule pressure
- Comfort with high‑project ownership and limited scope definition
- Experience testing or operating hazardous systems (up to 400 V)
- Experience on projects involving integration of electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems
US Salary Range: $129,000 – $171,000 USD. Compensation may vary based on experience, education, and business needs. Equity grants are part of the total package.
