Position: Estate Administrator          at CB Consulting Group, LLC        in        Quincy,        Massachusetts

Estate Administrator | AmLaw 200 Firm | Boston

We've been retained to identify an experienced Estate Administrator for an AmLaw 200 law firm's Boston office. This is an immediate need for a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented professional to manage the administration of taxable estates, including those with complex and illiquid assets. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of estate administration experience - ideally from a law firm or professional services environment - along with a strong working knowledge of estate planning techniques and Federal and Massachusetts estate and fiduciary income tax laws.

What

You'll Do:
  • Handle all aspects of estate administration from start to finish
  • Prepare and file Massachusetts Probate Court documents, including preparation and review of probate accountings
  • Prepare Federal and Massachusetts estate tax returns, as well as other state returns as required
  • Collect and value assets, calculate estate tax estimates and commissions, prepare instruments of distribution and receipts
  • Participate in post-mortem income tax planning alongside attorneys and tax professionals
  • Oversee asset transfers to beneficiaries, including distribution documentation, receipts, and releases
  • Fund formula distributions to marital and exemption trusts
  • Serve as a reliable, responsive resource to attorneys, fiduciaries, and family members throughout the process
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of estate and trust administration experience in Massachusetts probate and estate administration
  • Ability to independently draft Federal and state estate tax returns
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF programs, and Outlook; familiarity with GEMS estate tax software a plus
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort working independently while remaining a flexible, collaborative team contributor

Compensation DOE up to $125k.
