Portfolio Administrator - Quincy, MA
We are seeking a Portfolio Administrator to join a leading financial services firm in Quincy, MA. This position will support day-to-day operational activities, including nightly pricing, trade processing, researching discrepancies, and responding to internal and external client inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to build a career in the investment management industry.
This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire position offering $30–$35/hour, depending on experience, based on a 40-hour workweek. The position follows a hybrid work model and is based in their Quincy office.
Responsibilities:- Support nightly pricing and daily investment management operational processes.
- Process, review, and confirm investment trades accurately and within established deadlines.
- Research and resolve trade errors, processing exceptions, discrepancies, and routine operational issues.
- Respond to inquiries from internal teams and external clients regarding transactions and account activity.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure transactions and data are processed in accordance with established procedures.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding transaction status, issues, and resolutions.
- Escalate complex or non-routine issues to senior team members as appropriate.
- Follow established operational controls, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with additional investment operations projects and responsibilities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 1–3 years of relevant investment operations or financial services experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Interest in investment management, trade operations, and financial markets.
