Cost Estimating Analyst

• Analyze, evaluate, coordinate, prepare, and support cost proposals to government and commercial customers
• Coordinate collection and accumulation of cost input from cross-functional departments
• Support consolidation and pressure-testing of bases of estimates across labor, material, travel/other direct costs, and subcontracts
• Research and analyze historical data and develop cost models to support proposal efforts and assess estimate accuracy
• Assess estimating techniques and historical actuals documentation
• Evaluate Bills of Materials and select appropriate pricing methods
• Ensure vendor quotes are recent
• Consolidate cost estimates in the pricing tool/ERP system
• Generate cost volume, financial analyses, and ad hoc support
• Ensure adherence to FAR, certified cost and pricing compliance (TINA), and internal policies and procedures
• Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Program Management, Contracts, the Estimating and Pricing lead, and the proposal team

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline required
• 3–5 years of experience in Cost Estimating or other related experience
• Required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret government security clearance
• Able to communicate and present cost estimating information to leadership
• Able to perform bidding on different contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M)
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure bids are completed on schedule
• Proficient in handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Capable of working independently and in a team environment

Demonstrates expertise in Cost Estimating, including the ability to analyze and prepare cost proposals while ensuring compliance with FAR and TINA regulations. Proficient in consolidating cost estimates and communicating findings effectively to leadership.
