Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Family Partner to provide peer-to-peer support and advocacy for families navigating mental health, education, and social service systems. The ideal candidate is a parent or legal guardian with lived experience supporting a child with emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs. This role involves empowering families, building strong relationships, and collaborating with service providers to ensure families receive appropriate support.
Responsibilities- Offer peer support, guidance, and mentorship to families based on personal experience.
- Help families navigate mental health, education, and social service systems.
- Advocate for families needs in school, healthcare, and community settings.
- Provide emotional support and empower families in decision-making.
- Facilitate parent support groups, workshops, and community outreach.
- Maintain accurate documentation of interactions and services provided.

- Experience as a parent and/or legal guardian of a youth with special needs, and preferably a youth with mental health needs
- Experience in navigating any of the child and family serving systems and teaching family members who are involved with the child and family serving systems
- Experience in working collaboratively with state agencies, consumer advocacy groups, and/or behavioral health outpatient facilities
- Knowledge of Children Requiring Assistance (CRA)-related issues
- Good organizational and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate others
