Position: Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Job Summary

Who Is This Role Great For?

Ideal candidates have or are pursuing studies in psychology, social services, early education, or behavior sciences, or have experience working with kids in daycare, preschool, or related settings.

What Happens After I Apply?
  • Recruiter initiates a 30‑minute virtual interview, followed by an onsite interview at your local Bierman center.
  • Opportunity to shadow a current Behavior Technician.
Daily Responsibilities
  • Conduct 1:1 therapy sessions with clients.
  • Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans.
  • Collect and record data, and write therapy notes for each session.
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding progress, under BCBA guidance.
  • Assist BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials.
  • Maintain functional and technical knowledge via required training.
  • Adhere to BACB guidelines.
  • Work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) if not already certified.
  • Foster a positive working environment and maintain good vibes.
Requirements – Basic & Essential Functions
  • Ability to lift and carry clients who are at least 30 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to restrain, hold, transport, and use quick body movements as indicated.
  • Maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending) for extended periods.
  • Run and chase clients, maintaining a three‑foot distance at all times.
  • Handle basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing.
  • Manual dexterity for data collection and session documentation.
  • Visual acuity to read written communication on paper or electronic devices.
  • Transfer written data to electronic files or database systems.
  • Prolonged computer use while seated.
  • Assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space including toys and furniture.
  • Administer medication to clients.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and be detail‑oriented.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet team and client needs.
  • Act with integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with children ages 2‑12 in classroom, day‑care, 1:1, or instructional childcare settings.
  • Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis principles; education or allied health background.
Job Type & Compensation

Non‑Exempt, Full Time. Pay is competitive and based on qualifications and experience. Full‑time employees receive comprehensive benefits including Paid Time Off, 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, and short‑ and long‑term disability options.
