Role Summary
State Street Investment Management is seeking a Tech Operations Governance Lead to head oversight of technology services delivered by our internal technology partner, Global Technology Services (GTS). This role is accountable for ensuring technology services supporting Investment Management are delivered with operational excellence, resilience, and strong risk governance.
The Lead will serve as the first line of defense/escalation within Investment Management for technology service performance, providing transparency into service quality, dependency risk, and remediation progress while partnering closely with Technology, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and business leadership.
This is a senior individual‑contributor role requiring strong asset‑management domain expertise, governance discipline, and the ability to influence outcomes across a complex, global organization.
- Own the technology service provider oversight framework for Investment Management.
- Monitor and assess GTS IT service delivery performance in the following areas: application support, infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, end‑user computing, and data services.
- Define and maintain KPIs, SLAs, and scorecards; deliver clear monthly reporting highlighting performance, trends, and risks.
- Act as the primary escalation point for service issues and dependency risks impacting business operations.
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Audit to support regulatory reviews, operational resilience, and issue remediation.
- Drive continuous improvement of governance, oversight processes, and operational resilience capabilities.
- 10+ years of experience in financial services technology, technology governance, or service provider oversight.
- Deep understanding of investment management technology platforms and workflows.
- Experience overseeing large‑scale, enterprise technology service providers (intragroup or outsourced).
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively in matrixed environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and judgment capabilities, with a commitment to risk excellence and control.
$120,000 - $202,500 Annual
