Candidate Profile
We are seeking a Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer with 7+ years of experience in IT, strong background in design/data modeling, development and performance tuning, building cloud-based data warehouse solutions for F2B clients.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and test end-to-end data pipelines including ingestion (streaming, events, batch).
- Develop and deploy scalable ETL processes on Azure and Snowflake using DBT, Airflow, Cosmos DB.
- Automate jobs and testing, optimize pipelines for workloads and use cases.
- Support mission‑critical applications and near‑real‑time data needs from the platform.
- Diagnose and resolve data and environment issues, perform impact analysis and root‑cause analysis.
- Implement data models, transformations, and schema designs for analytics and reporting.
- Optimize and tune Snowflake performance: query optimization, resource management, scaling, etc.
- Leverage Snowflake advanced features such as resource monitors, RBAC, virtual warehouse sizing, zero‑copy cloning, time travel, re‑clustering, data sharing, and lake‑house patterns.
- Micro‑services architecture and cloud computing knowledge.
- Experience with API/Event‑driven architecture.
- Dev Ops pipeline troubleshooting and Azure services.
- DBT for data modeling and transformation, Apache Airflow for orchestration.
- Snowflake utilities:
SnowSQL, Snowpipe, Snowlight. - Experience with semi‑structured data (JSON, XML) in Snowflake.
- Experience with Databricks or Scala (optional).
- Exposure to financial services or fund management environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer or IT related field.
- 7+ years in professional database and data warehouse development.
- 7+ years writing SQL and stored procedures for relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
- 5+ years of Snowflake development (Snowpipes, Snowshare, Tasks, Streams, UDFs, Procedures).
- 5+ years of cloud‑based development (Azure Services, Azure Dev Ops, Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience with agile development methodology.
- Client‑facing experience and excellent communication skills.
- Team player with strong work ethic, ability to multi‑task and meet tight deadlines.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, and self‑motivation.
Onsite 4 days a week in office and one day remote. Standard business hours (8am‑5pm) aligned to project and stakeholder needs.
Salary & BenefitsSalary range: $90,000–$157,500 per year (location specific).
