The Cloud Reliability Engineer III designs and implements cloud services and guardrails, automates routine operations, and improves reliability and developer experience.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations are Salisbury, NC & Quincy, MA.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Design reusable cloud modules and reference patterns.
• Implement policy enforcement and configuration baselines.
• Enhance observability and SLO/SLA reporting.
• Execute upgrades, patching, and change windows safely.
• Troubleshoot incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Document standards, golden paths, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with platform, security, and product teams.
• May be called upon to support critical escalations and must be available during urgent IT incidents as needed.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
• 5+ years in cloud engineering or platform operations.
• 5+ years of production experience in Cloud technologies – Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, Azure functions, Azure automation and runbooks, workbooks, Insights, Security Center, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
• Hands on experience with IaC tools like ADO, ARM, Terraform, Ansible, Power Shell, Python, azcli, Git Hub.
• Hands on with automation, IAM, networking, and core cloud services.
• Familiarity with containers/serverless and CI/CD.
• Strong problem solving and communication.
• At least 4 years of hands‑on operational experience supporting the following or related:
  • Azure Virtual Network, VNet, Express Route, Load Balancer (L4/L7), Traffic Manager, CDN, Azure DNS, routing & routing protocols like BGP, firewall concepts.
  • Azure Identity including Azure AD, PIM, Conditional Access, MFA, Azure AD Connect, passwordless sign‑ins, Microsoft Defender, Key Vault.
  • Azure Governance, Security, Monitoring, Workbooks, Compliance, and cost awareness.
  • Azure Virtual Machines, Containers, and/or Kubernetes and/or Open Shift (infrastructure perspective).
  • Azure Storage Account, Disk, Snapshot, Backup, Site Recovery, file sync, Data Lake.

• Azure Certifications.
• Exposure to cost optimization and tagging standards.
• Understanding of backup/DR patterns in cloud.
