Quality Assurance Technical Analyst
Duration: 3+ months contract
Hours per Week: 37.5 hours per week
Location: hybrid onsite as needed at 100 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) provides services that directly touch the lives of slightly more than 1 in 4 residents in the Commonwealth. Some of our most vulnerable citizens, including children, youth, adults, and the elderly are served by The Executive Office of Health and Human Services. EOHHS is the largest secretariat in state government and is comprised of 12 agencies, in addition to 2 soldiers' homes and the Mass Health program.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Executive Office of Health and Human Services is currently seeking an exceptional individual to join the EHS IT team.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Quality Assurance Technical Analyst
Design and develop test cases and execution by both manual and automated methods. Assist and mentor team members and provide backup support for the test manager. Conduct requirements analysis, develop day-over-day test metric reporting, review test cases, and scenarios to ensure software compliance. Work closely with the test manager to oversee the day-to-day test execution, defect tracking/reporting results, and facilitate status report in daily status calls.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the defect triage meetings, stand up call with business as required and providing information about defects and route cause analysis.
- Broad knowledge of testing approaches and techniques for certifying software acceptance.
- Participate in weekly defect remediation call to actively work on long pending and warranty defects.
- Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) and scope sessions involving cross-functional stakeholders.
- Create and deliver test plans and test cases - create effective and reusable test scripts based on functional requirements and use cases.
- Performing requirements verification testing, functional testing, security testing, regression testing, positive and negative testing, and post-production validation.
- Perform data setup, testing, and reporting for load testing and automation testing.
- Perform critical analysis of test results and make confident decisions and recommendations; and adhere to escalation processes to ensure accountability and issue resolution.
- Work with SQA Manager and across project teams to ensure testing completion in line with project deadlines. Work closely with the testing team and resolve testing related issues/concerns.
- Perform Gap analysis and advise testers to create new possible test scenarios and add them to the test bed. For every patch release, look at the coverage and identify regression suite and assign to testers.
- Develop test automation scripts and provide technical support.
- Develop and distribute Test Summary Reports after each cycle.
- Process HIPAA ANSI X12 standards and EDI 834, 820, 270, 271, 837 and 999 and good knowledge of Managed Care/Member systems.
- Hands on experience with any public cloud environment like AWS, MS Azure.
- Experience with Dev Ops technologies such as Jenkins, Git Lab and other tools.
- Experience working on testing Interfaces that communicates with cloud services.
- Technical skills in Oracle SQL Developer, C, C++, Java, Groovy, UNIX scripting, HP Load Runner, MS Office suite.
- Prior performance testing experience desired. prior performance testing experience desired. preferably SAAS Load Runner.
- Excellent Selenium skills with core JAVA experience desired.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in project teams, providing relevant quality assurance services to a broad audience.
- Highly analytical and able to independently analyze test results and be confident in making decisions and recommendations.
- Experience in Health and Human Services applications or other governmental data processing applications desired.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or University degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Experienced in reviewing the work of business analysts, junior and test analysts to ensure well-defined requirements contribute to defined functional use cases.
