Job Description
The Part‑Time IT Systems Support Analyst provides support in maintaining Quincy College's IT infrastructure across multiple campuses. The role focuses on assisting with asset management, basic network support, security monitoring, and help desk services. The position requires flexibility to support college operations, including occasional evening or weekend work.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with IT asset lifecycle management, including setup, tracking, and retirement.
- Support security monitoring activities, reporting concerns to IT leadership.
- Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 help desk support, resolving end‑user issues promptly.
- Support network operations by assisting with troubleshooting and documentation.
- Contribute to system documentation, help desk logs, and security reports.
- Participate in required compliance and professional training (e.g., FERPA, Title IX, ethics, security policies).
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and work experience will be considered.
- At least one year of experience in IT operations or support role.
- Competency in asset management, network troubleshooting, and IT security best practices.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with IT service management platforms and ITIL principles.
- Experience with common security tools (firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection).
- Knowledge of scripting/programming (Python, Power Shell, or similar).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft Certified).
