Alpha - Mapping Lead - Transaction Management - Vice President

Overview

The Alpha Business Transaction Management Interface Mapping Analyst will act as the link between clients/businesses and IT teams to define and create interfaces between applications, solving business challenges and designing optimal solutions.

Collaborating with subject matter experts, technical teams and key stakeholders ensures delivered solutions match customer requirements, supporting transformation goals such as automation, waste elimination and productivity improvement.

• Identify, compile, analyze and document interface mapping and business requirements that accurately reflect business needs.
• Create interface mapping definitions using specific business tool sets.
• Test and document mapping specifications, workflows, and interface testing.
• Gather business/system requirements by facilitating user/client meetings, interviewing users, and researching issues.
• Support ongoing project management, including progress monitoring, reporting and quality assurance.
• Document business requirements using clear, concise language consistent with the methodology framework.
• Lead the business analysis and data mapping team, allocating work, ensuring quality, resolving issues and maintaining delivery accountability.
• Support monthly production deployment activities to ensure stable releases.
• Coordinate with global teams in China and India, as well as cross‑regional teams, to deliver consistent, high‑quality results.
• Analyze workflows and potential strategic scenarios, evaluate existing business models and future processes or solutions.
• Identify, solve or elevate potential issues and risks during development life cycles.
• Collaborate with on‑shore and off‑shore team members including business analysts, product owners, developers and QA personnel.

• Good understanding of business systems, financial industry, and system development lifecycle methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of front office, middle office, and data management systems.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
• Creative and strategic thinking with a focus on outcomes.
• Experience writing stories and requirements to support micro‑services.
• Product Owner experience using Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, RTC, etc.).
• Detailed mapping and transaction transformation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or 14+ years of experience as an interface mapping analyst or business analyst.
• Experience with State Street Transformation tools (ISVC, IDW, DEH) and knowledge of listed securities, bank loans, OTC derivatives, FX and cash trade processing.
• Experience with capital markets, middle office servicing, and (beneficially) trade order management systems.
• Extensive SWIFT market practice knowledge of inbound/outbound messages and financial messaging formats (SWIFT ISO 7775/15022/20022, AVRO, JSON, XML, FPML, SWIFT MT950/MT940, MX‑CAMT
  53).
• Knowledge of Kafka, MQ, SFTP and database query skills (SQL).
• Ability to analyze and initiate new concepts in a changing environment.
• Proven implementation experience in large, complex projects.
• Proactive, target‑driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Team player, detail‑oriented and self‑motivated with minimal supervision.

Salary range: $110,000 – $188,750 per year (primary location). Additional compensation may include incentive awards.
