About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and self-driven Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support medical engagement efforts within rare disease. This role is fully virtual and focused on engaging healthcare providers (HCPs) across a broad U.S. territory through remote interactions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rare diseases, thrive in dynamic and evolving environments, and bring an entrepreneurial mindset suited for building processes in a lean, biotech-style organization. This role requires someone comfortable working independently while maintaining close cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain virtual scientific engagement with HCPs treating patients in rare disease indications across a defined U.S. region (East or West Coast).
- Deliver accurate, balanced, and timely medical and scientific information to HCPs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, particularly commercial (sales), to ensure aligned field engagement strategies.
- Contribute to referral pathway development, stakeholder mapping, and HCP targeting strategy.
- Gather and communicate field insights to medical affairs leadership to inform strategy and planning.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant clinical data, treatment guidelines, and emerging science in rare diseases.
- Represent the company at medical conferences and scientific meetings, as needed.
- Ensure all interactions and activities comply with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines.
- PharmD, PhD, or MD required
- NPs considered with extensive experience in rare diseases
- Minimum of 2 years of MSL experience
- Strong preference for candidates with rare disease background
- Prior experience in small or emerging biotech environments preferred
- Demonstrated success in remote/virtual engagement with HCPs
- Mid-Senior level
- Contract through December 2026 + extensions

This role is remote (East or West Coast) within the U.S. and may require occasional travel to conferences or meetings as needed.
