Delivery Manager

As a Delivery Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent data and technology initiatives. You will provide delivery oversight across projects, directly manage programme execution, and establish strong governance practices that enable predictable, high-quality delivery. Working closely with engineering teams, architects, product owners, client stakeholders, and delivery leadership, you will ensure programmes are executed efficiently while proactively managing risks, dependencies, budgets, and timelines.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced delivery environments, can balance strategic programme oversight with hands-on execution, and has experience delivering complex data and cloud transformation initiatives.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

• Provide delivery oversight across multiple concurrent projects and programmes.
• Directly manage the execution of complex technology and data initiatives from initiation through successful delivery.
• Develop and maintain integrated programme plans, delivery roadmaps, budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
• Ensure programmes are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including data engineers, analytics engineers, software engineers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Track delivery progress, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities across work streams.
• Drive accountability across delivery teams to ensure predictable execution and successful outcomes.

• Establish and oversee programme and project governance across all assigned engagements.
• Work closely with delivery leadership to define, implement, and continuously improve a consistent project governance framework.
• Ensure appropriate governance artefacts are maintained, including delivery plans, RAID logs, decision logs, status reports, and executive dashboards.
• Facilitate regular governance forums, sprint reviews, steering committees, program reviews, and executive updates.
• Ensure timely reviews, stakeholder feedback, approvals, and decision-making throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Promote delivery best practices and continuous improvement across the delivery organisation.

• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, delivery leadership, and technical teams.
• Translate technical delivery progress into clear business updates for executive stakeholders.
• Proactively manage dependencies across engineering teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
• Identify delivery risks, priority conflicts, resource constraints, and blockers early, driving timely mitigation and resolution.
• Escalate critical risks and issues to leadership with clear recommendations and recovery plans where required.
• Manage changing priorities while maintaining programme stability and delivery commitments.

• Ensure projects adhere to delivery standards, governance frameworks, quality controls, and operational processes.
• Support estimation, capacity planning, forecasting, and resource allocation across the programme.
• Monitor delivery metrics and KPIs to improve predictability, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Contribute to the evolution of delivery methodologies, tools, templates, and operational excellence across PivotX Advisors.

• 7+ years of experience leading the delivery of technology programmes or complex projects.
• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-scale data, analytics, AI, cloud, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of modern data ecosystems, including data engineering, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, analytics, and cloud platforms.
• Proven experience establishing programme governance and managing complex project portfolios.
• Experience managing cross-functional technical teams across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies with experience operating in Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, resource planning, risks, dependencies, and executive reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and modern technology delivery practices.

• Experience delivering projects on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or equivalent modern data platforms.
