We are looking for a Data Security Architect reporting directly to the leads of Data & AI Security Engineering. You will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise data security capabilities focused on data-at-rest discovery, classification, risk reduction, and governance across on-premises, cloud, SaaS, and AI platforms.

What you will be responsible for

As a Data Security Architect, you will:

* Lead enterprise-wide data-at-rest discovery, classification, and risk assessment initiatives across cloud, SaaS, structured, and unstructured data repositories.

* Design and implement data security architectures leveraging platforms such as Varonis, BigID, Microsoft Purview, and similar DSPM (Data Security Posture Management) technologies.

* Define onboarding, scanning, classification, and monitoring strategies to improve visibility into sensitive data locations, ownership, and exposure risks.

* Partner with Data & AI, Cloud, Infrastructure, Application, Privacy, and Risk teams to develop remediation plans and reduce sensitive data exposure.

* Establish data security standards, governance frameworks, and strategic roadmaps supporting enterprise data protection, AI adoption, and regulatory compliance.

* Provide architecture leadership for data discovery, data classification, DSPM, AI data security, and data governance initiatives.

* Strong understanding of cloud data security across AWS, Azure, SaaS platforms, and modern data lake environments.

* Experience leading large-scale data security transformations in complex global enterprise environments.

* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive audiences.

Education &

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.

* 7+ years of experience in Information Security, Data Security, Cybersecurity Architecture, or related disciplines.

* 3+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise data discovery, classification, or DSPM programs.

* Demonstrated expertise with Varonis, BigID, Microsoft Purview, or similar Data Security Posture Management and governance platforms.

* Experience securing structured and unstructured data across cloud, SaaS, data warehouse, data lake, and AI/ML environments.

* Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, CDPSE, CISM, Microsoft Security Certifications, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent.

Additional Requirements

* Experience supporting AI and data modernization initiatives with a strong focus on data protection and governance.

* Familiarity with privacy and regulatory requirements including GDPR, CCPA, SOX, PCI-DSS, and other data protection frameworks.

* Experience defining security architectures for data lakes, analytics platforms, generative AI solutions, and enterprise data ecosystems.

* Ability to lead cross-functional programs and drive adoption of enterprise data security capabilities globally.

Work Requirement

* Hybrid work model in accordance with company policy.

* Standard business hours with flexibility to support global stakeholders and major program initiatives.

* Occasional after-hours support may be required during critical deployments, platform upgrades, or security incidents.

* Limited travel may be required for planning sessions, stakeholder engagements, and industry conferences.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $202,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
