Sr. Data Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Quincy, MA Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $65.00 USD Hourly Description:
Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop data quality standards and validation rules for public health datasets
• Create test plans defining scope, strategies, and evaluation criteria
• Develop test cases for data quality, compliance, and business rules
• Validate visualization dashboards including ETL, calculations, and usability
• Implement quality checks informed by epidemiologists/data stewards
• Monitor data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity)
• Identify and resolve data issues affecting analytic use cases
• Validate data pipelines from staging to curation to analytics availability
• Document test findings and translate into actionable insights
• Support metadata management including data dictionaries and business rules
• Participate in data governance and stewardship activities
• Support system enhancements and onboarding of new data sources

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams
• Bachelor's degree in STEM, Business, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field
• Experience with public health data systems (e.g., disease surveillance, immunization registries, ELR, vital records)
• Familiarity with HL7 standards
• Knowledge of HIPAA and state privacy laws
• Experience with analytic tools (R, Python, SAS)
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, AWS Quicksight)
• Cloud database experience (Snowflake, AWS services)
• Intermediate SQL skills
• Data warehouse expertise

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Public Health experience
• AWS experience
• Snowflake certification
• BI tool certification
