We have an opportunity for a highly motivated Operations Project Manager to play a pivotal role in driving cost savings for our manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of identifying and implementing cost‑saving solutions across the supply chain, design, and production processes. This role will directly manage supplier transfer projects, lead value engineering initiatives, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to optimize manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities Cost Reduction Initiatives- Proactively identify and analyze cost‑saving opportunities throughout the manufacturing value chain.
- Lead value engineering projects aimed at reducing part costs without compromising quality or performance.
- Partner with supply chain to negotiate better pricing, sourcing alternatives, and optimize inventory management.
- Work closely with design engineering to suggest design modifications that reduce material or manufacturing costs.
- Collaborate with manufacturing operations to implement process improvements and eliminate waste.
- Develop comprehensive project plans for seamless supplier transfer initiatives, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure successful knowledge transfer, process validation, and production ramp‑up.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure on‑time and on‑budget completion of transfers.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of operational improvement projects from initiation to closure.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Assign tasks, track progress, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams effectively.
- Prepare regular project status reports for senior management.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in a project management role within a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Master's degree or MBA
- PMP Certified
- Demonstrated success in leading and implementing cost reduction projects.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Extensive experience in progressive manufacturing environments with a focus on cost optimization
- Lean/Six Sigma certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across teams
