Systems Engineer; SEIT in Quincy

We are looking for a Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Engineer to own the execution and reality‑check of our System of Systems (SoS) architecture. This is a hands‑on role focused on bringing disjointed software, hardware, and autonomy subsystems together into a field‑ready system of systems capability.

• Lead the hands‑on integration of complex, heterogenous hardware—legacy platforms, third‑party sensors, and internal products—and software, proving baseline end‑to‑end data flow and scaling complexity.
• Serve as the ultimate technical authority for Verification, Validation (V&V), and fielding, translating Systems Readiness Reviews (SRRs) into Systems Requirements Documents (SRDs) and launching aggressive real‑world campaigns.
• Interpret and test Interface Control Documents (ICDs) on the bench and in the field, acting as the primary investigator when third‑party “black boxes” fail to interface correctly.
• Act as the lead anomaly hunter, conducting multidisciplinary triage across mechanical, electrical, software, and network domains during integration and field testing.
• Partner directly with TPMs to balance technical risk and resource allocation, feeding data‑driven feedback to SWEs and Left‑Side SEs to drive immediate product improvements.
• Own execution of critical downstream milestones, including writing test plans, building Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HITL) rigs, and leading readiness reviews and acceptance tests.
• Travel to field and customer sites to lead complex operational deployments, ensuring a smooth transition from R&D to operational dominance and customer success.
• Maintain readiness to travel as required for program support, proposal support, and stakeholder meetings.

• 8+ years of rigorous Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test experience, emphasizing the Right‑Side of the V (subsystem integration, HITL/SITL testing, V&V, field execution).
• A proven track record of moving complex, multi‑domain systems from the lab bench to operational environments at a breakneck pace.
• Hands‑on ability to read Python scripts, parse JSON payloads, debug serial connections, and analyze network traffic (Wireshark, TCP/IP, UDP).
• Demonstrated experience acting as the technical “glue” between highly specialized software, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams.
• Experience running formal customer sell‑off milestones (FAT, SAT) and fielding products in unforgiving environments.
• Ability to travel 20% of the time, with potential surges above 20%.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Experience operating, integrating, and troubleshooting complex systems in maritime or subsea environments (acoustic sensors, underwater navigation, comms relays). Maritime domain experience is not required.
• Proficiency in scripting and data analysis tools (Python, Bash, MATLAB) to parse logs, automate test rigs, and visualize system performance in the field.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems, RTOSes, and edge‑compute architectures.
• Familiarity with building and utilizing HITL and SITL test infrastructures.
• Experience with subsea operational procedures, launch and recovery systems (LARS), and offshore test execution.

$166,000 – $220,000 USD (base salary only; actual offer may vary).
