Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Plastic Injection Molding)

Location:

Massachusetts

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and optimise plastic injection molding manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement effective process improvements.
  • Support process development, manufacturing transfers, and capacity expansion projects.
  • Execute equipment qualifications and process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Perform root cause investigations and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
  • Analyze process capability, yield, scrap, cycle time, and productivity metrics.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, operations, supplier, and engineering teams.
  • Drive lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, validation reports, and work instructions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, plastics engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Plastic Injection Molding processes and equipment.
  • Experience working in medical devices or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ
    , process validation, and equipment qualification.
  • Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical device manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, and Minitab.
  • Experience with Automation and Assembly Processes.
  • Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) experience.
