Position Overview

The Development Coordinator serves as an important operational partner within NETRF's Development team, supporting donor engagement, stewardship, fundraising operations coordination, and development communications. This role helps provide the essential organizational support that enables the Development program to function effectively and responsively.

Working closely with the Chief Development Officer and external development operations contractor, the Development Coordinator helps coordinate donor relations, including stewardship activities, reports, acknowledgments, tribute gifts, and donor records, prospect research, and development projects. The role works collaboratively across Development, Communications, Patient Education, Research, Finance, and other partners to support effective fundraising operations and donor engagement.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and enjoys supporting donor relationships and mission-driven fundraising work.

This full-time position follows a hybrid schedule, with an expectation of approximately two to three days per week in NETRF's office. NETRF's office is south of Boston, accessible by public transportation.

Key Responsibilities Donor Relations & Stewardship
  • Respond to donor inquiries related to gifts, acknowledgments, tribute gifts, and donor records in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate with development operations contractor to help ensure timely and accurate donor acknowledgments, tribute processing, and donor communications
  • Assist with stewardship communications, including thank-you letters, emails, tribute acknowledgments, and donor follow-up
  • Help coordinate donor impact reports and stewardship materials
  • Track and help coordinate donor stewardship activities, follow-up actions, and reporting timelines
  • Support donor mailings and outreach efforts throughout the year
Development Operations Coordination
  • Serve as a primary liaison with NETRF's external development operations contractor
  • Coordinate requests related to gift processing, reports, acknowledgments, tribute gifts, and donor records
  • Help ensure timely communication and follow-up between internal staff and external partners
  • Review gift and donor reports provided by external development operations contractor
  • Maintain organized tracking systems and accurate development records related to donor activity, stewardship actions, reports, and projects in NETRF's Raiser's Edge database
  • Support tracking and organization of development program priorities, timelines, and follow-up actions
Prospect Research Support
