North Idaho Advanced Care Hospital is expanding its services and will be opening an in‑patient rehabilitation (IRU) unit to pair with its long‑term acute care beds. The IRU will provide acute rehabilitation services to patients with neurologic, orthopedic, cardiac and respiratory disease. - Degree from an accredited nursing program
- Current state registered nurse license
- Current CPR certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- One year recent experience preferred, preferably in an acute care setting
- ACLS certification preferred in LTACH and Texas hospitals
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice, infection control, and wound care standards
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance with TJC and CMS
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures; adherence to policies and guidelines
- Critical thinking skills
- Computer skills—data entry, word processing, email, record management
- Effective organizational and time‑management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit. The role is also responsible for patient assessments, planning, supervising, interventions, and evaluations designed to prevent complications of physical disability, restore optimal functioning, and help the patient adapt to an altered life style. The RN integrates the hospital’s mission and "Guiding Principles" into daily practice.
