UC Health is hiring a part‑time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department (ED) Night Shift at West Chester Hospital. The Emergency Department Nurse will support the hospital’s emergency room (ER) and LevelIII Trauma Center, delivering high‑quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and policy and procedures.

Responsibilities- Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, revises, and coordinates an interdisciplinary plan of care for each assigned patient in collaboration with other healthcare team members and the patient/family within the time frame indicated by unit standards of practice.
- Communicates the formulated plan of care to all levels of associates involved in the patient’s care and establishes priorities of care based on the patient’s assessment and needs.
- Provides clear instructions to patients and families regarding treatment, and involves family or guardian in assessment, initial treatment, and continuing care of the patient.
- Identifies and responds appropriately to different patient needs resulting from behavioral health problems, unique psychological needs, or religious/cultural norms.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, accountability, flexibility, and a cooperative attitude in meeting the needs of the unit.
- Documents the nursing process accurately and concisely, including evaluation of treatment, in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.
- Acts as a resource person and mentor for new personnel, floaters, and supplemental staff working on the unit.
- Assumes responsibility for personal professional development and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Associate’s Degree is the minimum, Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
- Current Ohio Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 2 years ED or ICU/Critical Care experience (preferred).
