Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric ICU Float - $10K sign-on

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced RN to join our Pediatric ICU Float pool to meet the ever‑changing staffing needs across the Critical Care and Cardiovascular programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing competent nursing care to critically ill patients (newborn – adult) and their families across all 4 ICUs (Medical ICU, Medical/Surgical ICU, Neonatal ICU and Cardiac ICU).
  • Delivering family‑centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment with many opportunities for learning and career growth with comprehensive orientation to meet individual needs.
  • Opportunities to be involved in hospital wide committees and to precept new staff and nursing students.
  • 24, 30, 36 or 40 hours available; orientation at 36 hours.
Minimum Qualifications Education
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing
Experience
  • A minimum of 1‑year, pediatric ICU RN experience required with a wide range of diagnoses preferred.
  • Ability to work 50% Day/Night rotations, every third weekend, and flexibility of availability required.
Licensure/Certification s
  • Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for 36 hour per week hires (pro‑rated for less than 36 hours) for RNs with a minimum of 1 year of Pediatric ICU RN experience. (Internal candidates and former BCH employees who have worked here in the past 2 years are not eligible).

Additional $8.00/ hour incentive for all clinical hours worked.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good‑faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job‑related factors.
