Position: Nursing Jobs in Rockwall, TX

Work Location & Hours

Location:

1105 North Central Expressway, Allen, TX 75013.

Work hours:

Full‑time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Requirements
  • LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire (required)
  • Accredited School of Practical Nursing Program (required)
  • 1 year LVN experience (preferred)
  • ACLS or BCLS (required upon hire)
  • Ability to multi‑task (strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic nursing processes and understanding of healthcare technology, equipment, and supplies
  • Knowledge of state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and composure
  • Ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude toward staff and patients
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
  • Efficient time management skills
Responsibilities
  • Deliver care to patients utilizing the LVN Process
  • Perform basic nursing care for patients by following established standards and procedures; may perform specific nursing care related to specialty of the practice
  • Collect patient data such as vital signs and notes on patient appearance, behavior, and responses, and report this information appropriately
  • Prepare and administer injections, perform routine tests, treat wounds, and change bandages
  • Prepare patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices (approximately 10%)
  • Administer certain prescribed medications and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response
  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations
  • Convey information to patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Participate in teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
